PENINGKATAN KAPASITAS KADER POSYANDU MELALUI EDUKASI DAN PELATIHAN DALAM PENCEGAHAN STUNTING DI DESA KARANGGUPITO KECAMATAN KENDAL KABUPATEN NGAWI

Abstract

Improving the capacity of Posyandu cadres is a strategic step in efforts to prevent stunting at the community level in Karanggupito Village, Kendal District, Ngawi Regency. This Community Service Program (PkM) aims to improve the knowledge and skills of Posyandu cadres in preventing stunting through education and training. The methods used include providing interactive materials, simulations, and field practice on risk factors, nutritional parenting patterns, and early detection of stunting. Program participants were 30 Posyandu cadres in the assisted area. The evaluation results showed a significant increase in the knowledge and skills of cadres, as measured through pre-tests and post-tests. In addition, cadres were able to apply the knowledge gained in Posyandu activities, such as providing education to mothers of toddlers, detecting stunting risks, and developing simple intervention programs in the community. In conclusion, practice-based education and training are effective in improving the capacity of Posyandu cadres for stunting prevention. This program is expected to contribute to reducing the prevalence of stunting in the assisted area in Karanggupto Village, Kendal District, Ngawi Regency.
