PENINGKATAN PENGETAHUAN MELALUI EDUKASI PENCEGAHAN STUNTING KEPADA MASYARAKAT DESA BENDO KECAMATAN PADAS KABUPATEN NGAWI

Abstract

Stunting cases in Ngawi Regency are still quite high, based on existing data, it is found that the problem of extreme poverty in 2024 Ngawi Regency is still experienced by 12.3 thousand people or around 4 thousand heads of families. Then, the stunting rate in Ngawi Regency based on SSGI in 2024 the prevalence of stunting is still 26.5%. The purpose of this service is to increase the knowledge of the people of Bendo Village, Padas Subdistrict, Ngawi Regency about stunting prevention. The methods used were interactive lectures and question and answer sessions. The results of the counseling showed that the average score of community knowledge about stunting at the time of the pre-test was 10.43 and at the time of the post-test increased to 19.60. The impact of this service is the increase in community knowledge about stunting prevention with a difference in the average score of knowledge of counseling participants at the pre-test and post-test with a score of 9.17. For this reason, it is recommended to the community, especially mothers, to prevent stunting by fulfilling nutritional intake during pregnancy, childbirth and children before the age of 2 years.
