PELATIHAN PEMBUATAN KERAJINAN TAS DARI LIMBAH ORGANIK (PELEPAH PISANG) DI DESA MUNGGUT KECAMATAN PADAS KABUPATEN NGAWI

Abstract

Piles of waste are indeed disturbing the view and smell around us. One of the causes of environmental damage is environmental pollution caused by the accumulation of said waste. Waste is anything that is no longer used as a production or consumption item, which if directly disposed of into the environment without prior processing can be a burden on the environment (Law Number 18 of 2008). Efforts to minimize waste can be done with 3R, including reduce, reuse and recycle. This community service activity aims to utilize waste into items that can be reused to help reduce environmental pollution. The creativity of utilizing organic waste (banana stems) into handicrafts is a fairly good solution to turn waste into useful items again, even having a selling value and can be created into items that have aesthetic value.

In this community service activity, training was carried out on the utilization of organic waste (banana stems) processed into handicrafts. And the results can reduce waste, maintain cleanliness, maintain and care for our earth, teach to be more creative by using easily available materials such as waste, increase the economic value of waste that has become garbage, is an entrepreneurial exercise to improve the quality of human resources. This community service activity is carried out to produce products by utilizing banana stem waste, helping government programs to reduce unemployment by creating a productive community in entrepreneurship as an effort to increase independence.
