PENCEGAHAN DAN PENURUNAN STUNTING MELALUI PKK DESA KASREMAN KECAMATAN GENENG KABUPATEN NGAWI

Abstract

This Community Service Activity entitled "Stanting" Counseling is in collaboration with PKK members in Kasreman village, Geneng District, Ngawi Regency. This activity aims to increase knowledge and understanding for PKK members, and for the community in Kasreman Village, Geneng District, Ngawi Regency about the meaning of "stunting" and its prevention.

 Stunting is a growth disorder experienced by toddlers which results in delays in the child's growth that are not in accordance with standards, resulting in both short and long term impacts. Meanwhile, the main causes of stunting include inadequate nutrition and nutrition intake for children, wrong parenting patterns due to lack of knowledge and education for pregnant and breastfeeding mothers, poor sanitation of the living environment such as lack of clean water facilities and lack of adequate toilet facilities and limited toilet facilities. which is needed for pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers and toddlers. which is needed for pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers and toddlers.

This Community Service activity uses the method of direct outreach and discussion to PKK members, aiming to increase understanding about "stunting". With the combination of methods used, it is hoped that residents of Kasreman Village, Geneng District, Ngawi Regency will not only gain knowledge, but will also be able to directly solve a health problem in their family. The results and impacts of this activity are expected to build and increase community knowledge and understanding about stunting, the impact of stunting and how to overcome it.
