Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a strategic role in strengthening local economic resilience; however, many MSMEs in rural areas still face limitations in managerial capacity, business planning, and access to market development. These constraints often lead to low business feasibility and limited sustainability of small businesses. This community service program aims to improve the business feasibility and human resource capacity of MSMEs in Klitik Village, Geneng District, Ngawi Regency through structured entrepreneurial mentoring. The program uses an Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach, which emphasizes the identification and optimization of local community assets as a basis for economic empowerment. Activities include asset mapping, entrepreneurship training, business feasibility mentoring, financial record-keeping practices, and collaborative business discussions involving local MSMEs and village stakeholders. Data were collected through participant observation, interviews, and questionnaires, and analyzed using descriptive and correlation analysis to assess the relationship between entrepreneurial capacity and business feasibility. Results indicate that entrepreneurial mentoring significantly improved participants' managerial skills, financial literacy, and ability to conduct simple business feasibility analyses. In addition, the program strengthened social capital among MSMEs by encouraging collaboration and knowledge exchange within the local business community. These findings suggest that asset-based mentoring can effectively stimulate sustainable entrepreneurship development in rural areas. The program's contribution lies in providing a participatory empowerment model that integrates human resource development, local asset optimization, and business feasibility strengthening as strategies to support the sustainability of rural MSMEs.
