A Community Service activity titled "Socialization of the Impact of Excellent Service on Public Satisfaction" was conducted with the aim of increasing government officials and the public's understanding of the importance of implementing excellent service in public service delivery. The activity was attended by Ngawi District officials, village/sub-district officials, and community representatives through lectures, interactive discussions, and a question-and-answer session. The results of the activity indicated that participants gained a better understanding of the concept of excellent service, encompassing aspects of speed, accuracy, friendliness, service certainty, transparency, and accountability. Through the discussion session, participants were able to identify various obstacles still encountered in public services, such as a lack of information regarding service procedures, suboptimal service times, and the need to improve staff communication skills.
After participating in the socialization, participants demonstrated increased awareness of the importance of providing services oriented to the needs of the community. Participants also understood that good service quality will directly impact public satisfaction, trust in the government, and a positive image of public service agencies. In addition to providing theoretical understanding, this activity generated several recommendations, including improving the competency of civil servants through regular excellent service training, optimizing the use of information technology in public services, providing more accessible service information media for the public, and conducting regular public satisfaction surveys to evaluate and improve service quality. Overall, the Community Service Program activity went well and received a very positive response from participants. This activity is expected to be the first step in building a culture of excellent service within the Ngawi District, resulting in a professional, responsive, and transparent public service that consistently delivers public satisfaction.
