ANALISIS POTENSI PENGELOLAAN TIMBULAN SAMPAH DI PERUMAHAN GRIYA ARGA PERMAI KABUPATEN SLEMAN PROVINSI D.I. YOGYAKARTA

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the potential for waste management in Griya Arga Permai, Sleman Regency; which is a residential area affected by the waste problem in the D.I. Yogyakarta area. To find out the potential for proper waste management, it is necessary to know the amount of waste generated and its composition. The calculation of the amount of waste generation is based on the composition using the basis of SNI 19-3983-1995 and the composition of domestic waste according to Damanhuri and Padmi. From the results of data processing, the volume of waste generation was obtained of 4,345 liters per day or the weight of waste generation was 695.2 kg per day. Based on the calculation of the amount of waste composition, organic waste is the second most waste after paper waste. With a total weight of 183.39 kg/day or a volume of organic waste generation of 372.80 liters/day. By carrying out the composting process for organic waste generation, there will be a shrinkage of 90% of the volume of waste generation from 372.80 liters, which is 335.52 liters.
