UPAYA DINAS PERDAGANGAN PERINDUSTRIAN DAN TENAGA KERJA DALAM MENINGKATKAN EKONOMI PELAKU INDUSTRI HANDYCRAFT DI DESA BANGUNREJO KIDUL

Abstract

The Strategies of Dinas Perindustrian dan Perdagangan in Developing Creative Industries Sector of Handicraft Marble Stone to Improve the Competitiveness of the Region (Studies in Dinas Perindustrian dan Perdagangan Kabupaten Ngawi) Dinas Perindag as the institution directly related to the creative industries, especially in the sectors of marble stone craft in Tulungagung. Creative Industries marble stone craft has contributed to the local economy, but the phenomenon in Ngawi currently has low competitiveness. This study was done to identify, analyze strategies of Dinas Perindag in developing the sector, namely: 1) creating a strong local economy based on local competitive advantages; 2) support the development of small and medium industries; 3) embodies and encourages environmental management for small and medium industries; 4) improve the competitiveness of the region; 5) realize product standardization; 6) realize sustainable economic growth. Research shows the results, from 6 strategy, four strategies have been implemented, while the two strategy has not been implemented because it is not supported by the program priorities. Supporting factors implementation of the strategy is the role of Dinas Perindag in developing creative industries marble stone craft, the potential of of marble

stone in Tulungagung, quality of human resources. Inhibiting factor is the completeness of marble

handicrafts export licensing documents, infrastructure, and limited functional personnel.
